Letters to his uncle, Jonathan Flynt Morris, from member of the 22nd Regiment of Connecticut Infantry, describing their activities and sketching their campsites, maps showing their locations and cartoons; includes account of the chopping down of a rebel's barn and forcing him to use his wagon to transport its roof to a cabin being built for the regiment's winter quarters. Letter from J.M. Ives requests five copies of the Bontecou Genealogy.
